I seem to be doing a lot right now. Anyway, I just recently got into ROM hacking. Specifically, Super Mario World ROM hacking. I'm working on my first hack, which currently has no name. I've got some videos here for you, though.
Iggy City is the first world in the game, named after the first boss, Iggy Koopa.
Ignore the super ugly colors in this second video. It was because of the background I was using (remember, this is a SNES, so it's limited).
And finally, a trial version of the third level. This is not complete, but I have since completed it. I'll probably upload the new video later today.
All the feedback I've gotten on these so far has been positive, so yeah, any feedback from you guys? I know these levels are short, but the 3rd one is already much longer than the other two and the later levels will be longer (remember, these are the first three levels).
EDIT: I forgot to mention that I'm going to come out with a demo soon. Super Mario World Central (basically THE Super Mario World hacking site) has a biannual event they started last year called C3. It's basically the E3 of SMW hacking. It runs for two days and everyone posts their latest stuff, whether it's a hack, a demo, graphics, music, or whatever. I'll be coming out with the beta on the second day of C3, which is November 8th. As long as you have a SNES emulator, you'll be able to play. Oh, you'll also need to use a program called Lunar IPS because it's illegal to distribute ROMs, so you'll have to patch the changed data in the .ips file I give out to a ROM you have (I'll give a tutorial or something when I release it).
